Prayer Requests

Prayer Requests

-Long term vision
As we have been praying about long term goals and vision, we need God’s vision for what we should, who we should work with, etc. Please pray that God will give us wisdom and connections with the right people to minister to.

-House to rent
As part of our long term plans, we want to rent a house that we can use as a base of operations and a place for our team members to stay long to mid term. Currently, we have been staying with Luke’s parents and driving up to harder-hit areas. With more and more cars on the roads, it is taking us 2-3 times more time to get places. Two days ago we were stuck in traffic for a total of about 5 hours.

-For safety and health for our teams
Many of our team members have been going at this relief work 24/7 for the last 3+weeks. Our drivers drive about a 1,500 km in 2 days.

-God’s love
When we are tired and busy it is always harder to love people. We don’t have enough love on our own. We need God’s love.

I just want to let you know I am praying for you almost everyday. I’m glad I just discovered this site and great to know what you are thinking long and short term. I am making a list of individual people the teams are making significant contact with and praying in that way. I’m so encouraged by your contact with Takahashi and Koukan’s family.

Thank you Greg! We really appreciate your prayers!

Prayer is really what keeps us going. We strive to pray daily (and minutely) on site seeking God to lead us to the people He is working in/to give us the right words to say to people. There is no way we could do this on our own strength or wisdom. That is why we really appreciate prayer for us and for the people affected by the tsunami.

Luke met the Takahashi’s as he was praying asking God to lead him to a person of peace! We are so grateful that our God is a living and powerful God who answers prayer.

    All blessings,

    Joey
